Start to feel the load..

left less than a month to finish my project.. a month plus to finish my report and presentation.. plus all the tests and assignments coming up.. plus all the arrows I received as the class rep.. plus all the application forms to fill in to apply for jobs.. went to career fair, only managed to give 3 resumes, just applied a job today.. and more to come.. but is there a job that does not need to fill long applications form.. feel so tired typing the same things over and over again..

never knows being a class rep is so not easy, has to be very enthu, and get all the others who are not enthu to be enthu.. why my classmates are so quiet? hello, are you all really there? really hope to see you tmr.. don't want to face disappointment again..

and my prof said something to me that is not encouraging lor.. he says my CAP maybe difficult to maintain.. but I really need a 2nd upper.. I can do it de lor.. Jiayou!

this coming week is midterm break but it seems like an usual week to me.. but it will be filled with activities.. haha..

Watched "L change the world" yesterday.. if you like death note, you may like this movie bah.. and I really impressed by the young jap actor and actress.. so young but really good in acting.. I stayed till the credits ended and it shows a few seconds of "L rests in peace" that's all? okay lor..

the lastest Lime mag has come with a free indie bands CD.. yeah! so good! got new songs to listen.. it is a compilation of 30 songs of 30 local indie bands.. I only recognised 2 to 3 of them.. one is astroninja.. which Levan is the lead singer.. this white-haired guy used to be the lead singer of ronin.. but now changed band le.. and he is also one of the writers of lime mag..

the birthday gathering at Coffee Club

it was to celebrate bingli's birthday.. that's before CNY bah.. but I only received the photos today..

it's back to coffee club again.. our old usual place in holland V.. but it's not the same anymore.. I was aware of the change of menu but not the others.. My friend who especially love their country pie was very sad that it had been taken off the menu and replaced with the beef one which she can't eat.. haha.. anyway, try the other dishes mah.. I think they are equally nice..

I tried something new, the seafood lasagne which has so much more seafood than the pasta lor.. and the seafood is quite fresh.. there's prawns, sotong, and the mussels.. and you will not feel sick from eating this lasagne.. nice!

and I was talking about the muddy mud pie last time, that I ate one piece myself.. this time round, I don't dare le.. shared with my friends and we also ordered the fruits fondue..

Sun with Moon Ichiban!

Went to this jap restuarant "Sun with Moon Japanese Dining & Cafe" at wheelock place few weeks ago.. haha.. should blog about it earlier.. haha..

anyway.. the food there is very special and nice too.. the atmosphere also not bad.. the deco is unique.. it was a monday that I went but it's already quite packed and there were reservations also.. when we went in, they even told us that we need to leave at about what time as there is a reservation..

We ordered.. me ordered rice which is like a bento.. forgot what it is called le.. becos it's in japanese.. haha.. and it's so long ago le.. I think is beef bah.. what I only remember is it's very delicious, and it's ingredients are quite generous with the veg, nuts and raisins.. you just feel like finishing the whole bowl and not waste it.. and the special thing about it is the bowl, or should I say pot that contain the rice and the hourglass that indicates the time to wait before you start eating.. and it's hot when you eat it..

after the main course is desserts.. they also have special desserts, also in special display.. I must say jap food, not only has the tastes but also has the looks.. makes you really want to eat it..
We ordered the specialty of the restaurant, the toufu cheesecake.. and also the special sweet potato tart.. the toufu is served in a bird cage with a paper crane lor..

I bought new specs.. haha.. quite ex lor.. I think spectacle hut raises the price high high then give discounts.. hope this will last long bah..
Watched Stephen Chow's movie CJ7.. short and sweet.. there're values in the movie.. family values and it will make you laugh and cry.. not bad.. not much lame jokes which I like.. but he's back at the end of the movie.. his old self.. and CJ7 is so cute!

Updates on my new year gatherings..

I went to 2 houses: firstly is weidong's house.. 2nd is jing huei's house.. the 2nd one, she never invited me but I wanted to go to see some friends so asked her lor.. haha..

at weidong's house, met some old friends from sci club and some new ppl.. we played indian poker and taboo.. many of them don't like gambling so never play bun luck lor.. and the forfeits for the games are the tibits.. quite siong lor.. luckily I am quite lucky that day.. never really lose much.. but I don't really like games with food as forfeit lor.. the dinner prepared for us is really nice.. and there's vodka.. maybe it's a bit too much and I felt a bit drunk from it, stomach also feels weird but luckily feels better a while later.. after it is dispersed.. haha..

went to jing huei's house eat again becos they are having steamboat and the ingredients are quite special becos her mother brought them from taiwan and thru out the night, her mother has been very nice.. always offering us food.. so nice of her and jing huei.. there.. I got to play mahjong and bun luck.. how can new year be without some gambling.. overall I won a bit.. a few dollars.. I think ziyang is really lucky.. he did not want so much money but he just so lucky and won a lot.. when luck came.. you just can't avoid bah.. that night I reached home at 3am.. damn late right.. and I sat on a pickup home.. I love to sit at the back of pickup.. love the wind and excitement.. haha..

My last V day of sch life..

yes.. that's 2 days ago.. I don't want to spend it alone anymore.. I have been staying at home for the past years.. I don't want to spend my last sch one at home.. I must go out.. haha.. but many of my friends already attached liao lor.. and I am not popular at all so those that I asked don't want to go out with me.. then I met one.. who also wanted to go out too.. and we went out with 2 others.. what we did? went to vivo.. ate at the food court and then went to sean im food centre to continue eating.. haha.. and chat lah.. chatted a lot.. my friend told us a lot of his stories.. interesting and funny.. haha..

my friend told me why I waited until year 4 then dressed up.. if I have started in year 1, may be there will be many guys who will chase after me liao.. haha.. true mah? so looks is really so impt de.. guys really goes for looks only mah? haha.. anyway.. ppl say is my expectations are too high.. or I think is I have the unfriendly look that scare guys away.. now that I changed is too late bah.. haha.. I also is stubborn bah.. only look at those guys that have the qualities that I am interested in and all the other guys I just ignored and not interested at all.. so if any interested in me.. I also will not take note or care bah.. I just so slow.. when I knew or think about it.. it's too late..

The day before vday.. I received a yellow gerbera from my friend.. he is just so generous.. I was just at the flower stall and the person was trying to get me to buy and my friend was there.. I just jokingly say "you buy for me lah.." and he really did.. haha.. don't get it wrong.. he doesn't like me.. anyway.. I was very happy to receive the flower and so that night I bought a love charm for him.. the mini voodoo.. haha.. becos he was just so unlucky in getting his love.. haha..

that night I also spent some time wrapping the small gifts to give my friends.. it consists of rocher, kisses, dark chocolate toblerone and sweets.. all very nice de.. I like ones.. this is the first time I did this bah.. wrapping gifts for friends.. I always so lazy.. haha.. becos this is the last time I get to do this bah.. I also added a small note.. some effort but worth it.. becos get to see the smiles of my friends..

I actually didn't intend to give them to my profs and mentor.. but one person from the lab told me to give so I anything lor.. but I feel very paiseh lor.. felt weird in giving them.. haha.. but I still gave.. made another 3 people happy.. haha.. so I had 3 less gifts to give to friends.. felt quite bad that never give to some people.. just too bad for them bah.. I just have limited number to start with mah.. sorry lor..

this Vday, I received in total 2 yellow gerberas, 1 pink gerbera, 1 rose, 1 rocher flower and 1 paper white rose.. the most bah.. so happy! and I also received some chocolates and this special photo.. thankz Daphne.. effort leh.. haha..

I actually very angry with my mother today becos she threw away my flowers without letting me know or even asking my permission.. even if they are already wilted.. also must let me know mah.. when I found out that they are all gone, I am so angry lor.. I am still is.. I not even taken a photo of them yet.. and I don't even have the chance to send them off.. she just jealous that I have so many flowers and she don't have bah.. :P
the flowers that are still around.. the white rose is actually made by a guy.. can't imagine guys to put in so much effort and he gave them to singles.. so sweet..

Flowers are just so fragile.. they die so easily and don't last long.. but gals just feel happy to receive them..

Kungfu Dunk!

Firstly, I want to wish everybody Happy Lunar New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai! Any Ang Bao for me? hee..

New Year Eve.. had reunion lunch at about 3pm becos my uncle needs to work that night.. he follows the US market so need to work lor.. had steamboat as usual with the same kind of ingredients.. I must say it's really nothing special..

I only visited one relative, my aunt, on the first day of New Year.. only stay for about 1 hour plus then went home le.. before that my parents and I went to temple to pray as usual.. and that's the end of relative visiting for me.. actually my Dad is so called the elder already.. and relatives should be visiting our house but this year none of them came.. these so called relatives I am not close to them at all.. each year I didn't even see them more than once.. some years not even once.. it's quite sad lor.. after my great grandmother passed away.. all these relatives have grown apart lor.. that is reality bah..
that's me and my mum before we went visiting.. haha.. don't know what she is looking at..

Day 2.. went to watch Kungfu Dunk with mum.. it has been a very long time since I watch movie with mum.. the last movie that we watched together is Fearless (Huo Yuanjia).. coincidentally the theme song also sang by jay zhou.. haha..

anyway.. the movie plot is so so.. predictable.. only like the special effects and animation.. jay must have enjoyed acting in this film bah.. becos can act shuai.. haha.. what he can do best bah.. he is so good in kungfu that he can fight so many ppl in one go and he is so good in playing basketball and dunk.. in summary, he is a hero.. haha.. and the moral of the story is team spirit is important in the game and money cannot replace all the relationships in the world.. that's it.. haha.. have uploaded the theme song of this movie.. it's lyrics are quite interesting.. enjoy..

but I want to talk about the new song "Return to Me" by the last goodnight.. I think many ppl never hear this band before bah.. I also don't know them but I went to gramophone one day then the shop is playing their song "Pictures of you" which is on the chart now.. a very nice song.. so are some of the songs on their album.. yes.. I downloaded their songs after finding out about them.. the music arrangement is good.. even though it is a rock band but their songs are not very noisy and they include orchestra music in some of their songs.. "Return to Me" is one of the grand songs..

although they are a new band, they are actually not new to the music scene.. they have actually changed their group name.. if you can.. listen to their songs..

why am I at gramophone? I was looking for the great spy experiment's album flower show riots.. couldn't find it at my usual music store.. so have to come here lor.. local band's cd is so difficult to find..

yesterday alive!

I stayed over in club room on fri nite.. quite rarely will I stayover.. becos it's so troublesome.. especially bathing.. lucky I have a good freshie who is willing to pei me to the mpsh toilet.. but quite pai seh leh.. he has to wait outside for quite long.. I like take my own sweet time.. haha.. but I did tried to do it fast lah.. luckily he brought a book.. why go mpsh? scared of going MD toilet along bah.. quite dark.. mpsh toilet bright enough.. haha.. thank you my friend! hee..

anyway.. never sleep much that night.. tried to sleep at 2 plus.. but couldn't really sleep.. becos slept near a person's legs.. really scared his legs kick me.. haha.. and not very comfortable sleeping at a sitting position.. just try to close my eyes lor.. anyway.. has to wake up at 4 plus mah.. set off to east coast at 5am.. yes.. I volunteered to help becos I don't really want to run.. 4km leh.. for a person who haven't been running for such a long time.. better not do such a strenous exercise.. haha.. sounds like a excuse.. but I did exercise.. walk a lot lor.. anyway.. on the way to east coast on the bus.. seeing th scenery of singapore while the sun is stil not up is still enjoyable.. quite beautiful.. the new ferris wheel has colourful neon lights that change colours now and then..

reached east coast.. it's so dark.. only the street lights giving some light.. organising a morning run is not easy job.. especially for the organising comm.. don't think they have slept or even rested the night before.. preparing all the stuff and moving the stuff from sch to the event venue.. but at least now it is successfully over..

I was one of the marshaller along the route.. and I thought I got a good location with good view of the sea.. but later I found that it's not good at all.. there's no shade at all.. the trees are all so small.. can't even provide shade.. and so I am there standing under the big bright sun.. luckily I did apply some sun block.. if not.. I will be a black liao.. and there's nice tian boon, sky and xin wei.. bringing drinks to me.. don't feel so hot becos of their kindness.. haha..

the nice view of the sea.. it's so relaxing and peaceful for your mind.. it is really not wasting of time to be there.. me facing the bright sunlight. eyes can barely open.. yah.. behind me is the no signboard seafood.. there's a row of seafood restaurants there.. but not open yet lah.. hee.. while I waiting for the race to start.. I went to walk around and saw my long-time-no-see friend.. the snail that I used for my sec sch project.. haha.. it is feasting on the grass.. haha..
quite impressed with some ppl who can really run a lot.. they not only run a round.. they ran many rounds.. if only there's donation of money for every round run.. then more money will be raised le.. but to bad they can't find a sponsor for that..quite disappointed.. it's for a good cause mah.. but I think companies will want to have strong publicity bah.. no publicity so no sponsor..

the event ended at 11 plus.. when I walked back with the others.. every participant is already gone.. so never really know how's the event go..

but saw someone's nick on msn: "ALIVE08: lousy event of e year.. climblingfor 5 mns is >>>>> tiring than running for 50 mins

if the comm ppl see this.. quite hurting bah.. should be more encouraging lor..

these are his reasons.. 10 of them..
1. the last min no donor for each round ran really spoil the mood for this event lor, since it's supposed to b a charity run
2. no waterpoint @ finishin point cos they wan u to buy those can drinks from them @ $1 each. but wat if someone in need of hydration immediately?
3. usually runs are held much earlier one, run @ tat time really hot lor
4. supposed to haf a talent quest performance de
5. it's ok tat e goodie bag dun haf a lot of stuffs but they gif me a bun which expired on the day itself lor.
6. the number tag wasn't waterproof, smear by my sweat. luckily i remember the number, if not no need take my bag le
7. the registration haf 3 rows, namely A-L, M-Z and I-L.
8. one of the marshaller nver do his duty de, i almost gt lost
9th and 10th reason he forgotten le.. haha.. these reasons are quite true lah.. maybe the organising comm can improve on this.. but I think next year will have a very different event liao bah..

Alive! seems to be a difficult event to organise.. especially with no strong support for promoting and publicising.. although it is for a good cause.. but with no publicity.. not many ppl will know about it and join it.. there is also no support in the logistics and organising this event.. with only the small comm covering all the jobs is tough.. I think after attending the alive events over these 4 years.. I feel the most successful one should be the one by Terence.. it was a charity run.. the turn up was not bad.. can feel the festive, carnival atmosphere.. maybe it was a collaboration with the CC.. there were more help.. those less fortunate from the beneficiaries also attended the events.. I was one of the helper.. helping them to go around the route.. can really feel the happiness in them and charity in the air.. creating the awareness of giving and caring for the less fortunate in our society.. that's what is important bah.. better than the money raised.. that's what I felt..

A cute banner of the event.. but it's scale is too small.. I know there are ppl who should turn up did not turn up.. you know who you are... quite disppointing.. since you don't care, why should I? but thinking of the ppl who did their best to run and participant.. I think is worth it to be there..

when I saw this in iweekly.. I think it is quite ridiculous.. she is another person who believes fortune teller.. will get good fortune as a whole.. not only for career and also if she never change her name, she will be bald at 30 years old.. and this new name sounds nicer.. chen jing xuan..

to me.. these sound so crazy.. she already build a career using this old name.. why must she change it? why must so many actors and actresses believe in these fortune teller? okay.. some really change their luck but it may be to better or worst lor..

mediacorp has seemed so bias in pushing her to the top and her name has become so popular.. and we are so used to it liao.. to change it.. don't think will happen too soon.. never really like her alot.. maybe becos I feel that mediacorp is just too bias.. help her and not the rest and I don't see her worth this help that much.. but I must agree that her acting skill did get better now.. from the drama that just ended not long ago.. wish you all the best and good luck bah..

talking about name.. got somebody say my chinese name don't sounds nice leh.. so hurting.. and also got one say why my name use such weird words.. damn hurting lor.. it's my parents asked a person who is knowledgeable in chinese and fortune telling to give me the name de.. not many call my chinese name liao.. only those friends from pri sch and those who take note of my chinese name will call me by that name.. but I really like ppl calling me by my chinese name.. sound more close.. stephanie.. anybody can call me that de lor.. maybe only ppl who know me well will know my chinese name bah.. 何宜蓁 he yi zhen..
