New current favourites

2 Korean dramas:

The 1st shop of Coffee Prince, a comedy romance show which is quite crazily funny sometimes... funny in the way that the guys and the not guy, not gal behave..

Hwang Jin Yi, a sad period, traditional drama that will make you cry.. I really cried lor.. the actor who acted as Hwang Jin Yi's lover looks so young lor.. compared to the actress.. like not mature yet.. haha.. so I went to search his profile.. and he is 21 years old.. so young, even younger than me and the actress is already 29 years old.. haha.. the 2nd lover.. he is the handsome actor with dimples.. although he has beard on.. I can still recognise him.. and he is still younger than the actress also.. 27 years old..
I used to don't like Korean drama.. prefer japanese drama to korean but no choice.. mediacorp only shows korean dramas.. anyway.. as long as the plot is not like winter sonata.. the lead will not have cancer or get into car accidents.. I will watch it bah..

but don't know why, I have a habit of pointing out whether the actresses had plastic surgery before.. becos they are just too pretty.. and their modified noses and chins are just so obvious.. haha..

So touching..

I received a msg today.. quite touched by it and very happy to received it.. becos never know there are people who will care about me.. and never know I will leave a good impression in people.. it was from a gal freshie.. she said: "Big Steph! Haha tis msg is abit random but jux wanna say I miss u!! :)" I also miss her too! and the rest becos there is no OG outing at all this hol.. no only OG but also the other OGs.. seems like only me care about organising outings.. but I had already made up my mind to not organising outing liao.. so I think we will have to depend on coincidence to meet in school bah..

and this New Year, I also received a call from a friend to wish me Happy New Year.. first time in my life leh.. really touched by it lor.. even if this will be the one and only call for my whole life, I will still be happy and will remember it dearly.. becos I am just so sentimental.. haha.. just becos there is a network jam and msg cannot get thru and he called me to send his greetings.. maybe I am just one of his friends whom he called.. but it is still something precious.. and it brings a new light and new meaning to me about what friends are for.. I really hope to have him as my friend for as long as ever.. a friend who I will share my joys and even talk nonsensical jokes and stuff...

as a single child.. with no siblings.. friends are like everything to me.. but having really good friends is really rare and difficult.. so must really treasure them..

Wow! something new..

On the train.. between newton and orchard station.. you will observed some special M&M electronic moving display panels.. wishing you Happy New Year.. saw this twice.. but didn't get a good pic.. becos my back is facing the display.. I only got this pic.. why didn't they have it on both sides of the tunnel.. haha..
look at their expression.. so amazed by the display right... and you can see the reflection of the display on the window..

The alcoholic weekend..

I am going to blog about the New Year weekend I had.. Finally received the photos from my friends..

Fri 28th Dec.
No photos from this becos nobody took photos.. it was at my Prof's house.. Must go! of course, it's compulsory but must go becos there are food, drinks and games.. My Prof and his family had put in a lot of effort to organise this.. cooked some simple dishes.. wrapped the presents and planned the games.. this is my second time there and the games are different from the last time.. I heard from the lab ppl.. the games are always different.. effort leh.. haha.. this time we played some word games.. charade.. dance revolution and Wii game bowling.. first time tried Wii.. quite impressed that it can detect speed and direction and motion.. and more and more high tech leh.. but play computer game.. I am always not good in it.. maybe I am slow bah.. luckily I have some very good group members.. they scored well and we won most of the games.. haha.. and every game we won we got a prize.. not bad.. going home with quite a number of prizes.. although the prizes may not be useful, had fun in the games is also good.. there was gift exchange.. and I received a Esprit cup.. I am using it now!

Party at Prof's house also means there's liquor.. there's a strong orange flavoured liquor which each person has to drink a little for losing a game.. and there is not so strong cocktail and baileys with vanilla.. this time round nobody is drunk as you can choose to sing for forfeit and many people did that.. for my group, we don't sing.. we just drink.. haha..

Sun 30 Dec.
the gathering that takes place every 6 months on the 30th.. this time the number of ppl who attended is much lesser but the interaction seems to be better becos we played some card or mahjong games.. not like last time we will form groups and only chat within the group.. sometime quite sian.. haha..

some of us went to Ryan's house earlier and we played a crazy mahjong game.. we take turn to open a covered tile and once we see 4 the same, we will snatch the tiles.. the one with the most tiles collect win.. haha.. playing with the 38 gang quite scary.. their movement is so fast.. haha.. and they always win.. after dinner, we played dice and card games.. who lose will have to drink a vodka mixed drink.. and I did not lose much so I don't get to drink much but those who said they can't drink much alway kana.. always not so lucky.. haha.. and some of them got a bit drunk.. anyway.. it is still a great nite!

Counting down..
Mon 31st Dec.. it's a nite of new experience.. is it a nite to learn something bad? maybe.. haha..
I and two gal friends decided to countdown together.. just find a pub in clark quay.. sit down, chat and drink.. that's our plan.. my friend recommended The pump room..actually we met a bit late lah.. 10 plus.. and I was late.. hee.. sorry lah.. must make up mah.. haha.. it's late.. so some places need cover charges.. and the pump room's cover charge is $40.. too ex.. heard double O is also $40.. we will rather go club then pub bah.. haha.. so we just walk around to find a cheaper pub.. and one of my friends suggested China One.. it was located above TCC.. the decor very china.. quite special.. the place is consisted of a few rooms but you can walk thru all of them.. there were also pool tables.. and a live band playing..

the cover charge is cheaper.. $32 with 2 drinks.. and there is no queue so we just enter lor.. the time was also getting closer to 12am liao.. don't want to countdown on the street mah.. Once we paid and went in, we found that the crowd is actually older and there are many ang mohs.. we couldn't find seats.. it is actually quite packed and many people are standing.. so we just stood around at the bar counter.. waiting for our drinks.. we ordered lychee martini and apple martini.. yes.. they are counted as housepours there.. in the clubs that I went.. it is never a housepour lor..

okay.. we are standing and waiting then my friend met her module mate "EZ".. my friend is actually not really close to him lah but since we have no seats, this module mate just intro us to his friends and got some seats for us at the other bar counter.. okay.. his friends are an indian couple.. quite friendly.. sitting there is fun.. can watch the bartender do some exciting stunts.. throwing the bottle and cups here and there.. never see this live before lor.. so is fun.. and the bartender is also very friendly and goofy.. he recommended our next drink cranberry vodka.. quite nice..

countdown came.. 10, 9, 8.. 3, 2, 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yeah!.. such a happy atmosphere.. everybody was wishing Happy New Year to everyone else and hugging their friends.. haha.. my first time experience this.. even strangers also wish Happy New Year to one another.. the environment there is so friendly..

I thought there will be no more alcohol for us after our 2 drinks but before we finished our 2nd drink.. EZ treated us to long island tea.. a strong drink lor.. one of my friends is getting drunk even without finishing 2 drinks.. maybe she drank too fast and she got high.. the other gal don't even dare to finish all her drinks.. afraid to get drunk.. me leh.. hee.. still finshed all my drinks.. don't want to waste mah.. and I still feels okay.. haha..

anyway, after counting down, the indian gal left and then the guys intro us to some more of their friends who are with their gal friends.. okay.. they are also indians but their gal friends got indian, chinese and ang mohs.. they really drink a lot and dance a lot.. and then comes a new "Friend", Chivas Whisky.. a bottle of it.. wow.. EZ is really rich yah.. buy a bottle of alcohol and his friends really benefit from it.. now I know how they become friends.. they mixed it with green tea and coke and treated us.. okay more alcohol for me.. I don't want to go dance.. I just sit at the sofa.. why leh? let you know later.. haha.. my friend who got high always cannot sit still at the sofa.. she will go to the small dance floor in front of the band to dance or to the toilet where she will throw out.. and my the other friend will accompany her.. she really can't drink yah.. and the kind indian friend will pass her green tea.. he was the kindest there lor.. he also tried to take care of me lah.. asking me now and then whether I am still okay.. I am not really drunk lah.. still know what is going on but a bit slow liao.. and cannot really walk or stand straight.. haha.. but still conscious.. not like my friend.. it may sounds a bit dangerous for us gals but our new found friends are quite good.. did not do anything to us.. but that EZ yah.. drunk liao.. then a bit touchy .. touch my friends' waists.. luckily only once.. and the indian guy also put his hand around my shoulder.. but nothing more than that.. lucky for us bah..

my drunk friend's bf came at about 3plus.. and we went home.. at that time, I am still conscious of what's going on but a bit blur lah.. reached home.. I fall asleep immediately after wash up.. haha.. and I woke up at 12 plus that afternoon.. still a bit sleepy but no hangover.. but my friends told me that they actually had headaches and feel nausea in the morning.. now I know how well I can drink and how bad they are in drinking.. but I still think it's not good to drink too much.. once a year on special events.. then can bah.. hee..

although I have not much problem from drinking, I did feel pain.. on my feet.. I worn the wrong heels.. it is so painful.. therefore, I can't stand long or dance.. I have to sit down .. hee.. when I reached home, then I know how badly it is.. how much pain I have bear with.. there were big blisters on my big and small toes on both feet.. haha..but now okay liao lah..

Hap Hap Happy New Year!

2008 is here! and this time round, I went out to countdown.. not with the countdown crowd.. but just with 2 gal friends and some newly met friends.. new year meet new friends.. but in the end.. forgot their names except one.. becos is "EZ" easy to remember.. haha.. had new experience and great fun.. no more coop up at home.. haha.. will talk about it when I got the photos.. haha..

this weekend is a fun weekend and alcoholic weekend.. drank a lot of alcohol.. at Prof's house on fri, at Ryan's house on Sun and at the pub "China One" yesterday.. haha.. okay once a year .. not a habit.. hee.. still feeling my heart beating fast now.. becos of the drinks? maybe.. actually I found that I am quite a good drinker.. no headaches and nausea.. haha.. but it's also not good to drink too much.. really bad for health bah..
