Vesak Day

Yeah.. yesterday was Vesak Day..
I went to two buddhist temples with my parents in the morning.. first one is a thai temple.. and the other is a guan yin temple.. in both temple, we did the usual stuff.. praying and since it is Vesak Day, there is bathing of the small buddha..

So many people pray at this temple.. and my mother is quite amazed by the large number of chinese who only good at speaking english are also buddhists.. but I was thinking.. not weird mah.. people of any language or race can be buddhists.. maybe becos of the common conception that this kind of chinese are christians bah..
Lost in translation, I think that is the name of the tample bah..
there is a sleeping buddha..
and the four-faced buddha..

inside the temple, there are more statues of buddha and a number of monks, not sure from thailand or other buddhist countries, who received many ang baos for their prayers..

after going to the temples, I alone went to the pc show.. don't really want to stay at home.. becos my mother actually promised to go shopping with me.. and last min, my relatives will be coming to my house.. so no shopping.. so sad.. my mother has to stay at home to wait for them to come.. I tried to ask some friends out but seems like I am the most free one.. they are so busy..

but luckily, my mother was not with me at the pc show.. it is so packed there lor.. packed like sardines.. so difficult to move around.. so squeezy.. was supposed to check out the HD LCD TV for my mother.. but they are so ex.. not within our budget.. Photo taken from the strait times.. so packed!

and I really want to buy a new camera lor.. something with a larger screen, good battery life, nice colour resolution.. after looking at the different brands' models which are within my budget, found that sony is the worst one.. colour not so good.. panasonic one not so user friendly.. good ones are canon and fuji film.. I really want to buy the fuji film one.. The camera I want.. good colour resolution, intelligent flash and long lasting battery.. and many free gifts with it.. haha..

but my mother don't allow me to buy.. thru the phone lah.. the usual thing: "your camera still okay.. why do you want to buy a new one.. no!" so no camera for me..

so I just bought an imation 2 GB thumbdrive for $30.. and a cd player len cleaner.. haha..
