Who can resist the Olympics?

nobody can resist.. especially when it is held in Beijing, an Asian country.. after so many big hoohaas about the olympics in beijing.. the political issues, torch relay, the pollution problems.. so many things that happened..

No matter you are a sportman or not, you are young or old.. you will like to watch the sports events on the tv.. even though Singapore does not send many sportmen and sportswomen for the events.. all Singaporean will still want to watch.. they will want to know who are the genius and champions of these sports.. and how amazing these ppl perform.. they may have created miracles or they may fall.. nobody will want to miss this.. nobody can imagine how miraculously the minds and bodies of these sports people can work.. they created their own personal best and break the world records one by one on this world stage.. anything can happen.. and it happened to our own Singapore swimmer.. Tao Li..

She broke her own national record, became the asian first.. and olympics fifth.. before the olympics, she aimed to get into quarter and semi finals.. if can get into these rounds she will already be very very happy.. but she did more than that.. she won the heats, 4th in quarter, 3rd in semi and got into the finals.. so proud of her.. she is one who can really do well under pressure.. the fast swimmers swimming along with her really boost her to swim better and better... and she brought medal hope to Singapore.. although she missed a bronze.. there is some disappointment but we are still very proud of her for her results.. She is a foreign talent who is worth the investment.. there is another medal hopeful who is Li Jiawei but I am not really hopeful of that.. as she usually succumbed to the pressure from the media coverage and Singaporeans' hope.. Let's wait and see..

talking about media.. the chinese sportsmen are really under great pressure from the media and all Chinese.. many broke down and cried under the pressure and lost and many felt even more proud and greater patriotism from the cheers of their ppl.. stress really has its own power..
